She has a broad experience in the modelling of the behaviour of the near and far field of nuclear waste repository; in the understanding of the geochemical behaviour of heavy metals and trace elements, and in thermodynamics and kinetics of natural waters, groundwater and soil pollution. She has been developing research, modelling and consulting work on projects related to chemical and geochemical aspects of nuclear and hazardous waste management for more than 10 years.Since 2013, she is at Universitat de Barcelona. Her research is mainly focused on the selection of thermodynamic data to perform quantitative interpretations or reactive transport modelling of field and laboratory geochemical, mineralogical and petrological data of ore deposits in order to test and validate the conceptual models derived from them.
